India Trip 2006

The 2006 trip to India was full of adventure and excitement. We were able to make new relationships with pastors in Kerla, pastors from Orissa and renew previous relationships in Andrha Pradesh. The Lord blessed the meetings and gave us an opportunity to minister to the pastors and people from various villages. This time there were three of us in our traveling team(Myself, Chandy John and Rufus Phillips). It was good to hear the other brothers share their heart.

This was my first time in the state of Kerla. We traveled to the city of Tiruvalla. This is the hometown of Chandy and Rufus so they knew their way around town.

Pastor Abraham has been working in Tiruvalla for many years. They have started many churches and continue to raise up church planters. We had a meeting in the morning at Elim church with pastors and other church leaders and then they enjoyed a lunch that we were able to provide. In the evening we had over 300 people gather in the rain to listen to use present teaching and challenges from the Word of God.

In Vishakapatnam we had set up gospels meetings in a couple of villages one in PM Patham with pastor K. Phillip and the other in Bogapurm with pastor M. James. Even though the rain prevented us from doing open air meetings we used the church buildings and they were packed with people and others stood out side under various covers. We had put speakers outside so people in the village could hear the gospel presentation. We had many people respond for salvation and others came for prayer.

Pastors Conference at Faith City

Sam and New Life Compassion Center Association (NLCCA) has done a tremendous job in creating a place to help train pastors, teach school age children and house orphans. By the grace of God and help from supporters Faith City is taking shape. Through the generous donations of people Mentoring Ministries International was able to bring in 25o pastors for a time of ministry and encouragement. This time 50 of the pastors were from the state of Orissa. This state still has active persecution of Christians. The believers are baptized in secret because of how the government would treat them. God blessed and we had a great time in sharing the Word of God and our hearts with these pastors. It was good to see some faces I recognized from the last trip.
